At Pyramid Fly Guy, we offer a range of personalized fly-fishing packages tailored to your needs. Our rates include everything you need for a successful day on the water including —top-quality gear, expert instruction, delicious lunch, and an unforgettable fishing experience at the world-class Pyramid Lake. Explore our various options to find the perfect trip for you.

  • Full Day

    Full Day Ladder Fishing = 8 hours minimum

    *1-2 people: $600

    *3 people: $700

    *4 people $800

    *5 or more: $200 per person

    *Unlike most guides, PFG doesn't have a timer running for your day of fishing. A full day consists of 8 hours but can be 10-12 hour depending on how the day unfolds. We will be on the water before sunrise.

    *Gear Provided: single hand fly rods for stripping flies, two-handed switch rods for bobber fishing, all flies and terminal tackle, ladder use for beach fishing, inflatable boats with oars for early and late season.

    *Lunch is provided lakeside.

  • Half Day

    Half Day = 4 -5 Hours

    *1-2 people: $450

    *3+ people: Email for pricing

    *Most half day trips will span between 4-5 hours on the water and will typically start before sunrise. Half day trips will not include any lunches.

    *Gear Provided: single hand fly rods for stripping flies, two-handed switch rods for bobber fishing, all flies and terminal tackle, ladder use for beach fishing, inflatable boats with oars for early and late season.

    We can also cater to the conventional angler. We have an assortment of Okuma rods and reels for those who do not want to fly fish. Multiple options are available according to your skill level.

  • Inflatable Boat and Oar (Seasonal)

    Full Day = 8 hours

    -1-2 people: $600

    -3 people: $700

    -4 people $800

    -5 or more: $200 per person

    *During early and late season, anglers have the option to fish out of non-motorized inflatable boats with oars.

    *Gear Provided: single hand fly rods for stripping flies, two-handed switch rods for bobber fishing, all flies and terminal tackle, ladder use for beach fishing, inflatable boats with oars for early and late season.

    We can also cater to the conventional angler. We have an assortment of Okuma rods and reels for those who do not want to fly fish. Multiple options are available according to your skill level.

Pyramid Lake Regulations:

  • You do not need a State of Nevada Fishing License, just a Tribal Fishing and/or Boating Permit. Boats are required to have current registration from their respective state.

  • Barbless hooks only. We are concerned only with what hooks you have in the water, not your tackle box. You can have 2 singles, 2 doubles or 2 treble hooks per lure.

  • No Bait. No worms, eggs, scent, Power bait or like products, or any organic matter on your hooks.

  • You can fish 1 hour before sunrise and 1 hour after sunset.

  • No fishing off the docks. Fishermen fishing off the docks present a safety hazard to boats launching
    and docking, and to the fisherman.

  • Closed areas to fishing and boating:

    • 1,000 foot radius around mouth of Marble Bluff Fish Way
      1,000 foot radius around Sutcliffe Fishery spawning channel
      1,000 foot from shoreline of Needles from Wizard Cove to Fox Bay
      The Truckee River and Delta
      Boats need to stay 250 feet from shoreline fishermen

  • Lahontan Cutthroat Trout Season runs from October 1 thru June 30.

Policies and Information:

  • Cancellation Policy: Deposits are fully refundable if cancellations are made at least 15 days before your scheduled fishing trip. We encourage rescheduling instead of cancelling when possible, and it is greatly appreciated. If you fail to notify us of a cancellation or do not show up, your deposit will be forfeited. PFG reserves the right to cancel or reschedule trips due to unsafe or unfavorable fishing conditions. In the event that rescheduling isn't possible, we will issue a full refund of your deposit.

  • Gratuities: Gratuities are not required but are always appreciated. Your support helps us maintain our current pricing without increases. You can leave gratuities at the end of your trip. If you feel a gratuity isn’t warranted, please let us know how we can improve for future trips. Thank you!

  • Permits: Cost does not include the price of your Pyramid Lake Tribal Fishing Permit. Please purchase your license in advance here: Fishing License
